Family Liaison Officer

Hi, my name is Mrs Steadman and I am the FLO at Kemsley Primary Academy.

My role is to promote the well-being and education of the children who attend this school, and in the process provide support and understanding to their families, as well as liaising between them, the school and external agencies.

Communication is key, and I encourage both you and your children to talk to me about any subject that may be causing concern, and I will endeavour to provide support, advice, and guidance where possible. I work impartially and confidentially in a non-judgemental manner, providing an understanding ‘listening ear’ if you ever need support.
 

I can assist with:

• Help with attendance and punctuality
• Safeguarding  / Early help referrals
• Signposting to local organisations, local charities, food bank, etc.
• Drawing and talking
• School health referrals for emotional well-being support
• Bereavement support

I am also the Deputy Safeguarding Lead and Forest School helper.
